PostSubject: Nick, this one was for you   Sun Jan 10, 2010 11:26 am

I got to a place where I have the capacity to fully get back into trying to have OBE's. I've been travelling for some time and I have my own space now with no interruptions every night. For the last week I have been focusing on trying to get back into it and really, really take this as far as it can go.

My first task, see if I can wake Nick.

I laid flat on my back, hands gently resting on my hips. The last few nights I have gotten close but ended up drifting off to sleep. I got close, could feel myself raising out and pulled back. I kept trying, doing my utmost to keep my thoughts from drifting while trying to maintain relaxed and just let myself go. I could feel the lightly tugging sensation and felt ymself begin to twist and spin. It felt as if I was tumbling through a tunnel and I stood up, it was very dark but I could see nicks face, he was sleeping. all I could precieve was his face and the bed. I tried to wake him by saying his name and trying to physically wake him. This would be about 20 minutes ago, from when I posted this.

Continued.....

I drifted back and thought I was back and got up and walked out of the room. Getting out I could see I was in a dream, there was a side room and my sister was in it. I could see her through some clear glass and I tried to push myself through the glass but to no avail. I kept walking to the kitchen and could see a banister leading downstairs and a library, very vivid leading around to a kitchen. My mother was there but she couldn't see me and I started to try and get her attention. I started to snap my fingers on either side of her head and suddenly I snapped back awake. I snapped back pretty hard, not sure why because usually it would just fade out.

I understand that I may get some criticism that what I am doing is just dreaming but I will tell you now that it is very different. Each time I do it is the same, I gradually lose feeling within my body and then begin to feel as if I'm pulling away from my body and from there sometimes I feel as if I'm spinning and flying away and stand up or just stand up but I always feel as if I stand up at the end. When I do it, I know I have done it and I feel myself come back, which is usually within 15 minutes or so.

I believe that our conciousness drifts between other alternate realities all the time, we just call it daydreaming and dreaming. Usually we don't remember our dreams, or remember them afterwards but if you can focus to clear your wandering thoughts, you can experience it firsthand. I think that with focus that you could travel to anywhere and view anyone but as your thoughts are instant, if your thoughts wander then you would drift into other realities. Don't quote me on this however because this is the best I can rationalise it and will continue to try and learn more.
